planted fish tank

Planted 40 gallon aquarium (fish tank). This is 1.5 months after the first fill/planting. This is a dirt with natural local river sand substrate which requires no fertilizers and rarely requires water changes. The tank is supplemented with DIY C02 (yeast and sugar) Inhabitants are 2 California Roach, 7 neon tetras, 4 (2 adults 2 juvenile) mosquito fish, 2 ottos, a fancy guppy fry, several shrimp, and a boatload of snails. Currently pondering if I should keep the new ’tree’ i
