Friday Live Painting Session: Master Copy Block In of a Manet Flower Painting

Today I’m going to be doing a quick(ish) block in of a Manet painting of some peonies in a vase. I’ll be using the chromaMagic app to show how you can find out exactly what colours an artist used in paintings you love. The results can sometimes be surprising. All prima paintings like this one by Manet are great models for this kind of analysis. If all goes well, my copy should look quite close to the original if you squint - I’m just looking for a close match of the colours and shapes, not any of the detail.
