VOICES || A Tales from the Borderlands Animatic

WARNINGS: -body mutilation/horror -blood -shaky cam -MAJOR spoilers for Tales from the Borderlands --- *rolls up seven (7) months late with a new art style, a new editing program, a new obsession, and a tall coconut milk iced latte* hey guys what’d I miss so. uh. it’s been a while, huh? I gotta admit, I thought I was done with the animatic game after The Play; I tried a couple different ideas, including stuff from The Lightning Thief musical, but nothing kept my interest for long. so I figured I would close the animatic chapter on my life and simply look back on it fondly. but then .... borderlands happened. I fell hard for it at the very beginning of the summer, and I still haven’t fallen out of love. and in July when Starmapp introduced me to an absolute bop of a song that both went hard and also fit the game eerily well .... well. this happened. I tried out and experimented with lots of new ideas and style choices for this bad boy, including a new editing program; goodbye, windows movie maker. I just had so much fun intertwining everything together and telling a story in a way I hadn’t been able to before. I learned a lot from this experience. so yeah, I present to y’all what I’ve been working on for the better part of the past month. I can’t promise that I’ll continue making animatics, especially musical-related ones, mostly because college is starting soon and I have no idea what my life will be like then, but I hope to remain somewhat present on the channel in the future. kudos to anyone who read that whole beast of a description. cheers, fam. --- Song: Programs used: Paint Tool Sai, Sony Vegas Pro 15 Frames: 550-ish I don’t own the original song or the characters, only the art.
