Following on from a strong first half of 2022, with releases on Toolroom, Armada Electronic Elements, W&O Street Tracks and Fly Boy Records, the duo have garnered support from Sarah Story, Pete Tong and Danny Howard at BBC Radio 1, and Ben Malone on Kiss FM. A stand-out track from the Anjunabeats Volume 16 compilation released in July, ‘Came Here For Love’ opens the EP with an echoing vocal sample and a punchy baseline. Collaborating with London-based electronic duo The Pressure, My Friend pairs The Pressure’s warm vocals with a pulsating synth in ‘Future Life’ whilst EP closer ‘Great White Buffalo’ leads with bright chords. My Friend’s latest showcases why they’ve garnered support from Boys Noize, John Digweed and Lane 8 to name a few.
