Kid Man Blues - Big Maceo

Big Maceo Merriweather (b. 3- 31-1905 -- d. 3-23-1953), known as Big Maceo, was an American Chicago blues pianist and singer, active in Chicago in the 1940s. Born in Atlanta, Georgia. In the 1920s he moved to Detroit, Michigan and began playing parties and clubs. In 1941 he moved to Chicago where he met and befriended Tampa Red. He soon signed a recording contract with Bluebird Records. His first record was Worried Life Blues in 1941. It was a hit and became a blues staple. Kid Man Blues was recorded
