This is an experimental “remastered“ version of the original Bad Apple!! music video on Nicovideo. How was the video remastered? --------------------------------------------------- The video itself was upscaled from its original 480p resolution to ~3k UHD (2566x1924) using waifu2x, an image super-resolution implementation for anime-style art using deep convolutional neural networks. After that, the video was reprocessed using a motion interpolation filter in Sony Vegas to generate the artificial frames needed to double the framerate from 30ᶠᵖˢ to 60ᶠᵖˢ. How was the audio remastered? --------------------------------------------------- The audio/music was not actually “remastered“ perse. For this video, I used a lossless version of the original Bad Apple!! track and cut it down to sync with the original track as best as I could.
