Homemade cocoa powder! 🍫 For steamed & cooked chocolate moist cakes with honey cones too|Poorna

The shape and the colorful shades of the Cocoa amaze everyone. Reddish brown Cocoas are bit bigger than the ones in green and yellow pulp of Cocoa should be scraped and spread on a tray and let it ferments for a week alike. Then you will not be able to see any white nibs. Now, wash well to off the pulp and spread it on a tray to dry under sunlight. Take the dried Cocoa seeds and fry it on a pan. Then peel the seeds and pound them in a mortar. Later take a strainer to sift them and separate the flour. Though this was the easiest homemade remedy we could use to get Cocoa powder, way of getting Cocoa powder through machines is completely different. I prepared hot Wandu Appa (a sweet) mixed with homemade cocoa powder and cashews for Teatime. The steamed Wandu Appa split into four, were just like the ripe sprouted cotton used to enjoy Grand Mother’s delicious Wandu, Lawariya, Pittu, Halapa (Some unique sweets), So he will be over the moon to try these Wandu Appa. 🥧😋
