Shadowland by Pilobolus: The Transformation

“The Transformation“ is an excerpt from Pilobolus’s evening length shadow show, Shadowland. The first theatrical event of its kind, Shadowland is best described as part shadow act, part dance, part circus and part concert. The show incorporates Pilobolus’s legendary approach to modern dance with high energy and fast-paced, multimedia innovation as it shares the surreal experience of a young girl coming of age in a sensational world. Created in collaboration with lead writer for the popular animated series SpongeBob SquarePants, Steven Banks, and set to a rhythmic original score by the American musician, producer, and film composer, David Poe. Created and Choreographed in 2009 by Steven Banks, Robby Barnett, Renee Jaworski, Matt Kent, Itamar Kubovy and Michael Tracy in collaboration with Mark Fucik and Molly Gawler. Follow us here!
