Why Reset 1893 Chicago Expo after 1871 Great Fire like WW2? Erase World History?

It does not make any sense. After the 1871 great Chicago fire, that looks like Dresden 1945 Germany WW2, they make the World Columbian Chicago Expo in 1893 and demolish everything. So important is it to erase true world history before 1900? So unfair... And the other world 150 expos between 1850 and 1930?
