“No Girl’s Toy“ from Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure

Uploading a shorter-cut and slightly higher quality (but still not spectacular) version of this scene, in honor of Richard Williams. Legend has it Dick took charge of doing the lead animation of this scene himself, just because he could. Williams, along with Tissa David (who also passed recently, and animated the “Candy Hearts and Paper Flowers“ scene from this film) are two of my major inspirations to want to learn animation. Their work means the world to me, and I know it’s touched so many others and pushed countless would-be animators to finally take the plunge into doing it themselves. . I want to note that I love this scene so deeply, I once made a poster for it as though it were a standalone musical:
