Easter Monday Traditions in Slovakia / Veľká Noc na Slovensku

And here is why girls are pretty and healthy for the rest of the year... :) Easter traditions in #Slovakia look a little bit strange (and can be a shocking experience for foreigners) but have a long lasting history. :) This is Slovak tradition, the girls are washed with water so that they are pretty and healthy for the whole year... Looks violent and girls don’t like this tradition too much, because they need to change the clothes several times a day (as several groups of young men go from one house to another)... But I think this is the only negative thing... Of course, it needs to be done in a considerate manner... I think these days it’s not about buckets of water but just about a few water drops... But in the past, usually, in the villages it was like it can be seen in the video. :) Video was taken in Stará Ľubovňa open-air museum of folk architecture, just below the castle of Stará Ľubovňa: You can find it among the best places to visit in Slovakia here: ------------------- Tak ak by ste náhodou nevedeli prečo sú dievčatá na Slovensku také pekné a zdravé, tu je dôvod. :) Nádherná veľkonočná tradícia priamo v snáď tom najkrajšom mieste, na ktorom sa len môže konať - Skanzen v Starej Ľubovni pod Ľubovnianskym hradom. Jedno z najkrajších miest na Slovensku!
