“Simple Melody“ and “I love Piano“ (medley) | The LUCKY DUCKIES | Live at the Lisbon Colosseum

This is a two songs medley both penned by the genious american songwriter Irving Berlin. “Play A Simple Melody“ is from 1914 and is one of the few true examples of counterpoint in American popular music — a melody running against a second melody (“Musical Deamon“), each with independent lyrics The other song is “I Love A Piano“ from 1915. This medley is a kind of a tribute too the late singer Lena Zavarony that inspired a little bit our female vocalist Claudia Faria. Lena did this medley on TV when she was just a very talented child. She was the youngest person in history to have an album in the top ten of the UK Albums Chart. Later she starred in her own television series, made numerous TV guest-star appearances, and appeared on stage. We hope she’d appreciate it in Heaven above.
