Mr Elliot At School (1937)

Unedited material. Man at a desk writing, telephone rings. He speaks but sound is poor. He tells a child to run and inform other teachers that the Minister of Agriculture and Mrs Elliot are coming to the school at 11 o’clock to see the children have their milk. Large group of children in an assembly hall drink bottles of milk. Teachers are also seen. The visitors arrive and shake the hand of a teacher. The children give three cheers for the visitors and wave their milk bottles. C/Us of children drinking milk through straws. A schoolboy ask Mr Elliot what this new milk scheme is all about. He gives information about how many children are getting milk and why the government have introduced the scheme. At the end of all the questions the boy asks “Mr Elliot, can I drink my milk now?“ to laughs from the visitors.
