Recipe: - 200g sushi rice - thinly sliced beef or pork - corn starch Sauce: - 20ml mirin - 20ml sake - 40ml soy sauce - 1 tsp sugar - pinch of MSG Optional Toppings: - sesame seeds - green onions Place the meat in the freezer for 1-2 hours. Meanwhile prepare the rice. Mix steamed rice with some pinches of salt. Make small or big rice balls. Wrap each rice ball with thin slices of meat so that there is no rice exposed. Cover with some Cornstarch. In a bowl, mix Soy Sauce, Sake, Mirin, sugar. Heat oil in a frying pan at medium heat, and cook wrapped rice balls until the beef is browned all around. Add sauce to the pan, coating the beef, and cook until almost all the liquid is gone. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
