Colorful spiny orb-weaver from Ecuador

This spiny orb-weaver with the scientific name Micrathena vigorsi in the family Araneidae lives in the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador. The bright yellow color warns potential predators such as birds that eight spines on the abdomen of Micrathena, which means “little spine” make them difficult to swallow. They are harmless to humans.
