I almost stumbled into it! Once I did “Something,“ with my drums tuned and dampened for 1969, I figured why not tackle more “Abbey Road“ stuff? And seriously, what’s more challenging or interesting than the medley that closes the album? What a gorgeous series of songs. Goosebumps. Two highlights. The piano playing by McCartney is stunning. The isolated tracks revealed some highly technical (and possibly improvised) riffs that were insanely fun to recreate. I have no idea how he sang at the same time.
