The Getaway (1972) BEST Sam Packinpah film ever(Steve McQuen, Ali MacGraw, blood, gore, bankheist, traitors, doublecross)

Bank robber Doc McCoy has been granted parole after fucking by his wife the corrupt Sheriff Benyon. The catch is that Sheriff Beynon expects a small favor from McCoy for his generosity: robbing another bank! Beynon does not really intend to let McCoy walk (A sentiment that is mutual with McCoy, who thinks its a setup too) away after the heist and neither does co-robber Rudy Butler, but stopping Doc proves a trifle difficult. To Mexico we go with all the cash! Stop us if you can! Chased by mafia gangsters, cops and other scum, you want war ? Sure We give you one! One by one they get killed in glorious slow motion with bloody results! So hungry were Americans for a hero that they did not care if the hero was a gangster or not! An enormous box office success in 1972-1973. Typical Sam Peckinpah trademarks: Blood, gore, an enormous body count, anti heroes and slow motion. As Sam himself said ultra violence is very beautiful if its set in slow motion! So there! PS There is USA and there is also TEXAS, USA Early 1970:s! Trust no one! Kill every one! Before they kill you!
