Unused / unissued material - Part of a documentary film about the farming of silk worms in Kashmir. Kashmir, India / Pakistan. VS of mountains of Kashmir. Lower hills are covered with plantations of the Mulberry tree. CU Kashmiri girls eating mulberry leaves. VS of silk worms being fed Mulberry leaves. VS the silk worms are placed in a wooden structure and begin to spin silk webs as cocoons. The silken cocoons are collected. One is cut open to show the chrysalis inside. CU of moth emerging from silken cocoon. Moths are picked off and sorted. CU of male and female moths mate. Moth eggs are collected and later weighed and boxed.
