The Hangout turns small grove into space for study – with hammocks

The Hangout took up residence in a grove adjacent to Fondren Library Oct. 14. The project that began as a winning concept in a Rice School of Architecture mini-charrette a year ago is now real and open to the Rice community as a space to relax, study, chat and contemplate. The designers said the dozen moveable canvas hammocks can be rearranged into 729 configurations. See more details in Rice News or at The Hangout website at .
