Watch more ’Season 3’ films here: In this wry tale that celebrates the art of stop-motion animation, a curmudgeonly owl must fight his nature when he has to watch over a young mouse for a night. A film by Emma J. Noble. Made at NYU. A reclusive owl begrudgingly invites a mouse into his home during a storm. As the mouse waits for the rain to stop, the owl is caught between his predator instincts and compassion in this wry stop-motion animation film. Putting her own spin on traditional puppet armatures and clay, Emma Noble uses two-dimensional animation as well as a bolt of brown felt fabric to imagine a creative new world onscreen.
