Smoke Gets In Your Eyes - Ray Conniff (1958)

One of the most delightful Ebay LP purchases I’ve made in the last couple of years was to be able to buy this record (created in 1958) and it’s precursors, “’S Wonderful“ (1956) and the second in the series, “’S Marvellous“ (1957). Beautiful arrangements from Ray Conniff as his career was taking off and these platters - and their covers - are just in amazing original condition. Just look at the cover out of “Mad Men“! :) So here is one of the classic Easy Listening pieces, straight from 1958 with the Ray Conniff orchestra and chorus in wonderful harmony. Please note that this is a monophonic track and was recorded directly from the vinyl LP without any digital enhancements or filtering. What you are hearing is exactly the sound produced by the needle running in the groove. :)
