A lot of us are aware that Kurt Cobain’s Nirvana went through a quick transition right as they were about to sign to DGC Records and become the most famous grunge band in the world. What you may not know is the new drummer, David Grohl, did not create his own drum parts. Instead, Mr. Grohl decided the old drummer’s parts, Chad Channing’s, were perfect and chose to copy them note for note. These drum fills would become the most iconic the world has ever known and make Dave Grohl, not Chad Channing, the most iconic drummer of all time.
