Avocado Pears (1966)

London. At the Royal Garden Hotel in London several chefs are seen in the kitchen preparing avocados; they are competing for the Golden Avocado Pear Award for the most mouth-watering way of serving them. Various shots of avocados being sliced, scooped and having balls of their flesh cut out; some of the finished dishes are seen here in the kitchens. Numerous shots of the avocado dishes in the hotel suite / conference room; some very exotic looking food; stuffed avocados made to look like crocodile heads and so on. Several judges inspect and taste the food then make notes; there are lots of other smart-looking people wandering around and eating avocado themed food. A pretty blonde girl presents the Golden Pear award to master confectioner John Huber. Cuts exist - see separate record. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
