Thought to be Selected Originals from late 1940s material. A short trailer film encouraging women to work in hospitals. An attractive young woman stands relaxing by a lake. Her expression changes and she reaches out and slaps her beloved across the face. He rubs himself where he was hit. Cuts to - The same man lying in hospital bed and the girl comes to minister to him. Various shots of the woman - who is working as a Ward Orderly - helping patients by fluffing up their pillows etc. VS of women working in Hospital kitchen. VS of women working in laundry. MS of women cleaning floors in ward. MS of doctor and nurse checking young boy in hospital bed. CU Doctor saying that women are needed to work in the hospitals. He calls on them to ’Be an angel - come and help“. Intertitle reads: “Improved Wage Rates and Conditions“. Next intertitle tells where to get more details.
