Tartarias – Free, Chinese, Russian and Moscow

At the beginning of the 19th century, during the reign of the liberal Tsar Alexander I, under the influence of European states, the geographical space – Tartary – began to disappear from the maps of Russia. Tartary is still absent in Russian historiography.
