Seduced by the missing paintings of Antiquity that classical texts evoke, in particular The Natural History of Pliny the Elder, José Luis Guerin delivers an essay in epistolary form where images, words, light and shadow connect cinema and the painting. This film is a prologue to the installation La Dama de Corinto, created by José Luis Guerin for the Esteban Vicente Museum of Contemporary Art in Segovia in 2011.
