Southbound

In January 2012 Froda asked his Facebook friends what instrument to use for a new song. His friends elected the Ukulele, and a public pledge was made to write the first song in many years. ’Southbound’ was it’s name, and Froda Friends was born. The story behind the recording of Southbound is that of two friends getting together in London after almost 10 years apart. Froda brought along Southbound, and with his buddy Drezz, started jamming. They sought to capture the mood encountered by millions, when winter sets in and you long for the sun, the sea, the party... and that woman down south. They got the tracks down in two days of crazy recording and rum fueled fun in Drezz’ studio Vibey Place. The Southbound video was shot on the final night of the recordings in London, March 2012.
