The Maximilian: This is a two-handed greatsword, known as Zweihänder in German. Used by the Landsknecht mercenaries in the 15th and 16th century on the battlefield, particularly against pike formations. The Maximilian is a high end reproduction, and a really impressive sword. Not just due to the sheer size but also the quality of the design, , material, fit and finish. I suppose you can call this video a review, even though it doesn’t my usual testing routine.
