DIY Mushroom Fairy House Lamp Using Bottle & Air Dry Clay Craft Ideas

Mushroom house? Yes! Good news is we only need bottle, air dry clay, cardboard, paper waste, masking tapes, and hot glue gun to make this craft. Easy! I had so much fun creating this cute house. It’s so satisfying when I see the transformation, from waste to a beautiful and magical mushroom fairy house after paintings. It’s useful too because we can still use the bottle as flower vase or night lamp when you insert fairy lights to the bottle. What clay I used for this project? I use homemade clay with wall filler/ joint compound as basic ingredients. I have added few spoon of corn flour/ corn starch to my usual mixture so it is not sticky. Have you seen my clay recipe video? Here is the link: If you prefer to buy ready made air dry clay, I heard that DAS modelling clay is favorable amongst crafters. I would say there are 3 types/ category of air drying clay in the market and there is also oven baked polymer clay that you can used with the design idea shared here. If you want to use oven baked clay, you can replace paper with aluminum foil to build the mushroom head shape.
