Joint military drills of CSTO countries start in Belarus, soldiers march in opening ceremony

Belarus on Friday hosted military drills involving troops from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, as well as its own army. The joint exercises by nations of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, a Russia-dominated military alliance, began near Belarus’ border with NATO members Poland and Lithuania. The opening ceremony took place in the city of Brest.
