The suspect arrested for the murder of Los Angeles Bishop David O’Connell in Hacienda Heights was identified as the husband of the bishop’s housekeeper. Carlos Medina, 65, was taken into custody early Monday after a standoff with authorities at his Torrance home located in the 20400 block of S. Kenwood Avenue, LA County Sheriff Robert Luna announced during a press conference. Medina had previously done work at O’Connell’s home, according to Luna, and claimed the bishop owed him money. Medina also drove a similar compact SUV to the one seen on surveillance video leaving the driveway of the bishop’s home Sunday morning.
