Here we go, the first ever Brian May solo show! Brian put together a band consisting of himself, Cozy Powell (drums), Mike Caswell (guitar), Neil Murray (bass), Spike Edney (keys) and Maggie Ryder, Miriam Stockley and Chris Thompson as backing vocalists. Before doing a world tour next year, the band did a warm up tour in South America, Being the first time since 1985 that the curly-haired guitarist played on this corner of the globe. The performance isn’t the cleanest, with Brian sounding a bit nervous in spots, with some not-too-stellar performances and some issues with singing some songs on key, he still gives the people of Buenos Aires a good performance and the band (despite some minor mistakes and moments than can be attributed to nervousness) plays well, with a specially strong performance of Let Me Out. Resurrection also has a fiery solo. Hammer To Fall is pure fire musically speaking, The audience is pretty enthusiastic throughout and the audio of the show’s in high quality, which makes for an enjoyable listen with only Driven By You being cut.
Note: I love hearing the camera guy telling everyone to get off the way so the lens could get a good view of the stage.
