Remake Recon: Sahara (1943) & (1995)

It’s 1942, a tank sergeant and a group of Allied stragglers are cut off from their unit with enemy advancing. They are also faced with the lack of water. When they manage to make it to a well, they learn a German battalion is on its way there in desperate need of water. Rather than retreat, the small group of men decide to stay and fight hoping to delay the Germans. Humphrey Bogart stars as Army Sergeant Joe Gunn in the 1943 WW2 film Sahara. In 1995 a made-for-cable remake of Sahara was made, this time starring James Belushi as Sergeant Gunn. I take a look at both films.
