Dortmund is a German city in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.  It is known for the Signal Iduna Park (formerly Westfalenstadion), the home of Borussia Dortmund.  In the nearby Westfalenpark there is the Florian Tower, which can be seen from afar, with its viewing platform.  The illuminated Dortmunder U is located on the roof of the U-Tower.
