“Old Buck“ | Dinosauria Series | Animated Short Film (2021)

Created by David James Armsby. This is the first short film in my “Dinosauria Animated Series“. This film takes place in Alberta, Canada 75 million years ago and follows an old alpha-male styracosaurus as he defends his territory from a rival male. This was a far simpler film to make in comparison to what I’ve been doing for the past few years, but I personally found it a refreshing change of pace because of that. I needed something fun and (relatively) easy after the nightmarish production of my last animated short film, “Immortal Machine“. This wonderful, simple film was a blast to make and reminded me that animation and filmmaking are still passions of mine. It holds a very specific and sentimental place in my heart because of that. In fact, I enjoyed making this film so much that what was meant to be one simple film about dinosaurs turned into a whole series about them! :D I hope you all like it as well!
