The Best iRacing Series For Each License Class (Road)

If you know iRacing, you know that there is a huge selection of content across the platform. On the road racing side of the service alone, there are more than 80 vehicles dedicated to that genre with more than 60 tracks with included road course layouts.   To move up in your license level, you’ll need to participate in official series races that meets your current license level’s Minimum Participation Requirement. In rookie classes, it’s pretty straight forward, but the more you move up, the more decisions you’ll need to make to determine your path to the Class-A license level.   A road racing connoisseur himself, our own Piers Prior has been on the iRacing service for nearly 10 years now, complimenting his real world racing career, and currently holds a Class-A license on the road with more than 4,300 iRating collected in that time.   Piers has gone and tried out every single official series on the road side of the service—that’s 51 weekly series alone for the iRacing road portion in 2023 Season 2—to tell you which ones are the best to compete in for each license level, from rookie up to Class-A.   Taking into account what each series offers, when you can participate and the car and track combinations of each, Piers delves through the fat to pick out the series that you should partake in for a good time on iRacing.
