Careful with the salt as you have salt in the tuna, mayo, mustard and pickle. FOR TWO TUNA MELTS: 1 tablespoon unsalted butter — room temperature 1 tablespoon Mayo 4 slices bread (preferably white, I am using sour dough) Pickled jalapeño slices — optional 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese Make a paste with the butter and one side of each piece of bread with the butter mixture. Make sure you spread it well. Heat your pan on medium/low heat. We are going to cook these low and slow for a nice crunchy, toasted bread. Place the bread, butter side down, on the pan. Add tuna to one of the sides. Top with jalapeños if using. Cover with shredded cheese. Once the piece of bread that has nothing on it is nice and browned, place it on top of the cheese. Place a lid over the sandwiches to let the cheese melt. Remove the sandwiches from the pan and cut in half. Serve. Music courtesy of YouTube - Night Run by An Jone #tunamelt #marquettecasting #tuna
