Professional Shepherd and Sheepdog in Ireland

A sheepdog named Dell doing her incredible work as directed by master shepherd Michael. There are tons of sheep in Ireland on rural farms all over the place. Sheepdogs are important for helping to gather and manage the sheep. Michael demonstrated the whistling he does to direct Dell in her work. Dell is 11 years old and is a well-trained dog who never stops working--she loves it. Michael says she is especially good at managing the sheep. Michael is a shepherd on Bob Nally’s brother’s farm. It is nice to have tour leaders with in-country connections. You can see Michael and Dell for yourself on the Sights, Sounds & Sacred Spaces of Ireland tour in May 2021
