PIG Traverse

In late November 2012 Rudy Chavez, Bob DeValentino, Tyler Gilbertson, Richard Marmdlejo, and Forrest McCarthy left Byrd Station for the Pine Island Glacier. Driving a Tucker Snow-Cat and two Caterpillar Challenger 55 tractors they hauled 6,000 gallons of fuel and over 11,000 pounds of cargo 430-miles in ten-days across West Antarctica.
