A French highwire artist has celebrated Frankfurt’s 1200th anniversary by walking along a 24-millimetre thick wire between two church spires, 80 metres about the old part of the city. Daredevil Philippe Petit, not content with just a tightrope walk, sat, wrote and took off his coat and hat on the 300 metre high wire between the Frankfurt Cathedral and St. Paul’s Church.
