Right - Left Brain Worldviews and the Kabbalah - Iain McGilchrist & Hyman Schipper

Dr. Schipper received his M.D. degree and a Ph.D. in neuroendocrinology at McGill University in 1982. He completed residency training in neurology at Columbia University in New York and a fellowship in endocrinology at Tufts (Boston). He is currently Professor of Neurology and Medicine (Geriatrics) at McGill and director of a neuroscience laboratory at the Lady Davis Institute in Montreal. He has published over 200 papers on Alzheimer disease, Parkinson disease, schizophrenia and other chronic afflictions of the brain and mind. Prof. Schipper also writes on the interface between contemporary science and the Jewish mystical tradition (Kabbalah). His research in this area was published in Yeshiva University’s Torah u-Madda Journal, in Unified Field Mechanics II (RL Amoroso et al. eds., World Scientific), Bar-Ilan University’s DAAT: Journal of Jewish Philosophy & Kabbalah, on and Beyond Belief.
