17 years old at the time of this recording, she was dubbed “The Female Elvis“ with approval from Colonel Tom Parker and signed to RCA Victor, Elvis’s label. She didn’t have any big hits nationally, but man, could she rock and roll! This song charted at #59 for Roy Orbison in June 1956. Written by Wade Moore and Dick Penner. Did not chart nationally, but released as a single in June 1956. The other side of this single is “One More Year to Go“.
