Новокузнецк в 1930-х годах Novokuznetsk in the 1930’s Here I present a series of photographs of the Siberian city of Novokuznetsk located in Kemerovo Oblast in south-western Siberia. The city was founded as a fort in 1618 and was first known as Kuznetsky ostrog (Кузне́цкий острог). In 1622 it became the seat of Kuznetsky Uyezd and was granted town ststus in 1689.
