Durango Mesa Bike Park Grand Opening 2023

My bike for this- The cycling culture in Durango is truly unmatched in the great state of Colorado. The only thing truly missing was a bike park style jump line, and I am happy to report that this niche has been filled. This town churns out world-class MTB athletes by the fistfull, so having a proper park facility is absolutely a no brainer in this community. I was fortunate to attend the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the Durango Mesa Bike Park on September 28, already being in town for the inaugural Durango Derby race that took place a few days prior. This bike park offers roughly 7 miles of new trail with 3 directional DH-only trails for all abilities. Huge props to this wonderful community for seeing this project through and all the build crews that put in the hard work to make this a reality. Big thanks due to Marc Katz who gifted this land to the community for construction of the Durango Mesa Bike Park in the surrounding Horse Gulch/Telegraph area. What a time to be alive. Jump in the train with Cole Fiene and Storm Perrella as we test out the new tracks. This is the way forward Durango, NICE WORK.
