NEWS | Malaysia submerged in heavy rain flood

By: Muhammad Yusry newsdesk@ PETALING JAYA: Non-Stop heavy rain for two days straight has turned a few states in West Malaysia into flooded areas. According to Public Infobanjir website, 6 states - Pahang, Selangor, Kelantan, Perak, Terengganu and Melaka - had exceeded ‘Danger’ water level while Kuala Lumpur, Johor, negeri Sembilan, and Sarawak exceeded ‘Alert’ water level. Malaysians who were affected by the flood saw their homes submerged in the water and some were stuck in their cars on the road for hours. Director of Selangor State JBPM, YS PKPjB Norazam bin Khamis said that the Fire and rescue department had started to transfer people in Klang to shelter since friday when they received calls. “We started our mission on Friday and on Saturday we received a high number of incoming calls and we couldn’t answer people all at once,” Norazam told theSundaily. “We send all of our squad to help those who are affected as soon as we can, especially in Hulu Langat and Shah Alam districts” Noraz
