Junk to Jewel | Trashed Antique Display Cabinet Restoration

Grab a seat and a cup of coffee or tea - this is my longest video yet on the channel but it is worth watching every minute of it. 120 year old handsaw restoration - Moldy, rotted caned rocker restoration - This week I present the repair and restoration of an antique display cabinet that I found on the side of the road while walking home from the gym. It is approximately 100 years old and was constructed by a local furniture maker which is of course no longer in business. It was falling apart, chipped, broken, and missing glass panes but overall in fair shape. It had five layers of paint, at least one of them being lead paint, and old, crusty varnish. This project required removal of the lead paint, filling 10,000 nail holes, repairing chipped wooden legs, wood working, sanding, staining and finishing, and assembly.
