Rescoring The Animatrix - World Record part 3 - [Film Music]

A section of the rescoring I did for World Record, a chapter from The Animatrix (2003), as part of a pedagogical approach to writing for the moving image, This was done by removing the original soundtrack from the audio mix and composing/recording my own from scratch and combining it with the original dialogue and physical noise. In World Record, we follow the sprinter Dan Davis as he battles through injury to eventually, and accidentally, break through the facade of the Matrix. Here I went for a more urban electronic sound, with a good deal of confidence. Drawing on genres such as synthwave, drum & bass, and triphop.
