Mimic Octopus in Nuweiba, South Sinai, Red Sea, Egypt
The extremely rare mimic octopus, or lat. thaumoctopus mimicus, is frequently spotted whilst Scuba diving Nuweiba’s ’Swisscare Reef’. Divers from the AFRICAN Divers Nuweiba dive centre, who are lucky to call Swisscare Reef their house reef, have been able to confirm at least three individual animals, living on a patch of sea grass just off their beach.
