E. Power Biggs plays Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King“ on Pedal Harpsichord

Originally released on Columbia LP “Holiday for Harpsichord“ (1966), which is currently out of print. Biggs plays an arrangement of “In the Hall of the Mountain King“ from Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite no. 1. The instrument is a pedal harpsichord built by John Challis in 1964.
