Washboard Sam pokes some good-natured fun at the old man who is so tired from work it´s gonna take the wife the whole night to wake him up. James Beale Street Clarks version (-47) rather gives us the blues of the hard working man too tired for recorded as “Too Late Old Man“ Lee Tuggle -55. I myself would like to add that it´s not too late, it never is. Beside the few pictures of Washboard Sam I could find I added some others from the web to illustrate my point of view.
